Spring hit me right between the eardrums last week.
As Daisy (the Danger Doodle) and I reached the trail through the green belt today, a chorus of birdsong greeted us. I took out my phone for the Cornell University app that identifies birdsong. And at the same time, it identified four species: northern cardinal, American goldfinch, red-winged blackbird and white-throated sparrow.
I also saw a few robins on the way back. I don’t think I’m a bird watcher, but maybe a bird listener.
